When director Mary Knight wrote and produced her first full-length feature documentary, Sister Mary’s Angel, she turned to CONVEY: for assistance getting the project across the finish line.
From the IMDB:
A comedy with depth about identical twin sisters. The only way Angel, a lingerie model, can get medical care for a life-threatening condition is to trade places with Mary, a nun.
The film needed final edits and tweaks prior to its release. CONVEY: tightened the pacing, balanced dialog, music and sound effects, and conformed the film to the distinct technical requirements for streaming, physical media, and theatrical release.
Since then, the film has been presented at multiple festivals, and acquired a distribution partner. Sister Mary’s angel can currently be streamed or purchased on Amazon Prime.
A viewer review:
The film is redolent with meaning and commentary. The most obvious being exploration of the bifurcation of female identity into the “good” and chaste, and the “bad” and promiscuous. The film puts on America’s status quo moral and societal allegorical trappings in order to subvert them. The fact that the film hits predictable and expected notes heightens the effect. Sister Mary’s Angel is a thought-provoking and worthwhile watch.
